"Lietuvos rytas" failed to get to the ULEB Euroleague

Vilniaus "Lietuvos rytas" basketball players were unable to squeeze to the ULEB Euroleague. In the tournament for participation, players from Lithuania 63:71 (21:13, 7:17, 12:22, 23:19) lost to Stambul's "Galatasaray" team and are going to play in the Euroc cup tournament this season.

"Lietuvos rytas" head coach Aleksandar Džikić said that the most important thing is to spend enough time together with the team, and, obviuosly, "Lietuvos rytas" had too little time for that.

"Lietuvos rytas": Renaldas Seibutis 15, Goran Jeretin 12, Steponas Babrauskas 10, Jonas Valančiūnas, Tyrese Rice and Lawrence Roberts 8, Mindaugas Katelynas 2, Artūras Jomantas (25:07), Predrag Samardžiski (14:29) and Brad Newley (15:49) didn't score, and Paulius Dambrauskas with Vilmantas Dilys didn't play.


"Galatasaray": Preston Shumpert 14, Josh Shipp and Lukša Andrič 12, Jaka Lakovič 10, Darius Songaila 8 (16:59), Ender Arslan 7, Furkan Aldemir and Jamon Lucas 4.
