A.Macijauskas will not participate in Beijing OG

Head coach of Lithuanian national basketball team Ramunas Butautas replaced his star guard Arvydas Macijauskas and his teammate in the Olympiacos Pireaus, Renaldas Seibutis with guards Steponas Babrauskas ("Lietuvos rytas" Vilnius) and Arturas Milaknis (Zalgiris "Kaunas") in the list of players who will compete for the final 12 spots in the national team.

The changes were made after coach has learned that A.Macijauskas will not be able to arrive to the training camp due to his back injury, which has bothered him much of the second part of the season. R.Seibutis was replaced because of the similar reason - he was also bothered by minor injuries and could not be able to work at full strenght.

Macas and Seibutis were second and third player of the original list, who were replaced even before the start of the training camp. It is already clear, that Arturas Jomantas, forward of "Lietuvos Rytas" will also miss the camp and Olympic games due to the shoulder injury.
