Varda leaves Zalgiris

Because of the complicated financial situation of Zalgiris Kaunas club, Serbian center Ratko Varda decided to leave the team. 214 cm player was upset as he did not get his paycheck for the last two months.

"I talked about it with my coach Gintaras Krapikas and explained my decision. Before that I was calling to my agent for a lot of times, but the situation in the club did not change at all", - said R.Varda.

However, he said he would not refuse the opportunity to come back to the team if Zalgiris is willing to pay his earnings.

R.Varda appeared in 5 SEB BBL games this season and averaged 6,2 points along with 2,6 rebounds per contest.
